Scholarship
Applications Now Available!
Applications for Leaders of Promise, Phi Theta Kappa’s first scholarship to fund associate degree studies, are now available from International Headquarters. A total of 10 students will be named Leaders of Promise for 2001, and will receive stipends of $500 each.

Purpose:
The purpose of the Leaders of Promise scholarship program is to provide new Phi Theta Kappa members with financial resources to help defray educational expenses while enrolled in a two-year college and to develop leadership potential by engaging students in Society programs.
Conditions of Eligibility:
- A student must be a Phi Theta Kappa member in good standing and currently enrolled in a community college at the time of application.
- Members must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA out of a possible 4.0 at the time of application on all associate degree coursework.
- Part-time students, full-time students and international students are eligible to apply.
- Students who have completed 30 hours or less of associate degree coursework by January 31, 2001, are eligible to apply.
- Students must not hold an associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree from any community college or senior institution.
- Students must enroll at a community college for the fall 2001 semester in a minimum of six semester credit hours.

- An application can be mailed, upon request, from Phi Theta Kappa Headquarters by calling 601.957.2241, extension 566.
- An application can be downloaded from the Phi Theta Kappa web site.
- An application can be sent directly to your fax machine by calling 601.984.3548 and requesting document number 9108.
