Chapters Rewarded for Membership Recruitment Efforts!
By Glen Hansford

Recruit more members to earn scholarship money for your chapter and region! The Pinnacle Scholarship Award Program is Phi Theta Kappa’s permanent membership enhancement initiative designed to encourage chapters to make sure their recruitment techniques reach all eligible students with information on the full benefits of membership in our honor society.

Under the Pinnacle Scholarship Award Program, chapters successfully increasing membership by 10 percent over the previous year are awarded The Pinnacle Scholarship Award Certificate at their regional convention, and also receive a $100 Pinnacle Scholarship Award, to be used at the chapter’s discretion. The timeline for inducting and reporting members for the 2002 Pinnacle Scholarship Award Program is January 1, 2002 through December 31, 2002.

This award is also available to chapters who do not increase membership by 10 percent, but do induct at least 90 percent of all eligible students.

Regions successfully increasing membership by 10 percent over the previous year are awarded The Pinnacle Scholarship Award Certificate at the International Convention, and also receive a $500 Pinnacle Scholarship Award, to be used according to guidelines established by the region.

In 2001, 421 chapters and 3 regions successfully reached their Pinnacle goals!

Enroll Now! Chapters and regions must formally enroll in the program to be eligible for the scholarships.
