Bring Your Gently-Used Items to Anaheim for the Convention Service Project!

Don't hassle with a yard sale! Bring your gently used items with you to Anaheim, and help the American Cancer Society. Members and advisors attending the International Convention in Anaheim are encouraged to bring gently-used items of clothing, jewelry and any small items for donation to Discovery Shops, beneficiary of the 2003 Convention Service Project.

Discovery Shops are upscale resale shops owned and operated by the American Cancer Society, Phi Theta Kappa's partner in the International Service Program, "Conquering Cancer." Proceeds from the Discovery Shops support the American Cancer Society programs and services. All items sold in the shops are donated, and the shops are staffed by volunteers. Items collected for the Discovery Shops will be displayed in the Academic Marketplace. An American Cancer Society representative will acknowledge the donations during a Convention General Session.

At every International Convention, participants have the opportunity to give back to the community by supporting a special project to benefit a service agency in the host city.
