Apply now to attend Phi Theta Kappa's 1999 Honors Institute in Washington D.C.


A combination of challenging speakers and field trips to some of the most significant institutions in Washington, D.C., awaits participants of Phi Theta Kappa's 1999 Honors Institute, an in-depth exploration of the 1999-2000 Honors Study Topic, "The New Millennium: The Past As Prologue."

Application forms for Phi Theta Kappa's 1999 Honors Institute, scheduled for May 23-30 in Washington,D.C., may be downloaded here, along with a tentative schedule and details on speaker presentations and special attractions.

Catholic University of America will host the 1999 Honors Institute. The application fee is $750, and did not increase over the 1998 Institute figure.The fee covers lodging and all meals on campus. Participants are responsible for off-campus meals and for meals on Wednesday,"R&R Day," when no Institute activities are scheduled. Some 400 slots are available and will be filled on a first-come, first-served, basis.There is no limit on the number of applications a chapter may submit.

The Honors Institute, called "the ultimate honors programming experience," will bring together members, advisors, and regional coordinators, for a week-long intensive study of the Millennium topic, through speaker presentations, seminar group discussions and visits to many popular historical sites in Washington, D.C.
