Phi Theta Kappa inductees who accept the invitation to be listed in the publication become eligible for National Dean's List scholarships, including 30 awards presented only to Society members. Biographical forms from the National Dean's List are mailed to Phi Theta Kappa inductees once a year. Those inductees who respond by returning the completed form to the National Dean's List  will be eligible for one of 30 $250 scholarships. Recipients are randomly selected. One winner will be named in each Phi Theta Kappa region, and other scholarship recipients will be selected at large. Phi Theta Kappa members will also be considered for various other scholarships awarded by the National Dean's List.

Phi Theta Kappa members inducted between June 1, 1998 and May 31,1999 will receive their letters of invitation and biographical forms in late June of 1999. Scholarship recipients will be selected in the fall of 1999. Each year the names of students selected for the National Dean's List are published in leather-bound book form. However, members who submit their biographical information to the National Dean's List are under no obligation to purchase the book.
