The Journey Phi Theta Kappa
Regions Get Wired! Phi Theta Kappa regions are popping up all over the Internet. Whether it is from the growing number of regional web sites or Phi Theta Kappa's new regional awards page, it is now easier than ever to find the most up-to-date regional information by simply going on-line. Does this scenario sound familiar? You've missed your regional convention, and you really want to know who took home the most regional awards, OR you attended the convention, won an award, and would like to see your name in lights! There's no need to fret, just log-on to Phi Theta Kappa's new regional awards section on the Society's official web site for a listing of all of your region's award winners including a complete list of chapters participating in the Five-Star Chapter Development Program. Awards information is posted the week following your region's convention. Still starved for regional information? More and more regions are going on-line by developing regional web sites. Approximately half of Phi Theta Kappa's 28 regions have already developed regional web sites, and several others are currently under construction. Regional web sites are a great way to quickly communicate information about regional officers, conventions, awards and more! "When we cross the 'bridge' into the next century, an increasing amount of our information will be accessible via the Internet," says Ohio Regional Coordinator Dr. John Kesler. "The regional web page enables members and advisors to have almost instant access to announcements, procedures, and changes in our regional information." The Ohio Region is one of the newest regions to get on-line. For more information about starting a regional web site, contact Director of Regional Programs Clancy Mitchell, 800.946.9995 ext. 562.
