Dr. Mary A. Simmonds, President of the American Cancer Society Board of Directors, recently spoke at the Phi Theta Kappa induction ceremony at Harrisburg Area Community College in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Her speech, entitled "Cancer: Hope, Progress, Answers," highlighted the Society's work with the American Cancer Society as our partner for the 2002-04 International Service Program. Dr. Simmonds, a resident of Harrisburg, also participated in the chapter's Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention Seminar held earlier this year.
