Phi Theta Kappa Members Meet Senator Hillary Clinton United States Senator Hillary Clinton recently visited with Phi Theta Kappa members during a formal meeting with college leaders in upstate New York to discuss economic development and the role of colleges. The May event also highlighted partnerships between schools and the private sector, such as Xeroxs plans to donate $1.75 million to Monroe Community Colleges Applied Technology Center to assist students with tuition and keep equipment updated. Phi Theta Kappa officers at Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York, were asked "to host" Senator Clinton and Xerox President Anne Mulcahy for the event, allowing the chapter an opportunity to visit with the senator and to present her with an honors stole.
