The Phi Theta Kappa chapter at Ivy Tech State College in Richmond, Indiana, is recording drastic increases in both member motivation and participation with the help of their college’s widely used email system. Because all students have immediate access to email through this system, both officers and advisors find it easy to maintain contact with the membership through mass email. This contact is established by emailing reminders, agendas and other necessary information to members before meetings and activities. Due to the participation growth associated with the constant communication, the chapter took their largest group ever to a regional convention!
