Leaders of Promise Applications Available in January 2001
Applications for Leaders of Promise Scholarships will be available from Phi Theta Kappa Headquarters in January of 2001. The first-ever Leaders of Promise will be announced in September 2001. The Leaders of Promise Program was established to provide Society members with financial resources to help defray educational expenses at the two-year college level. First unveiled at the 2000 International Convention in Orlando, the Leaders of Promise Scholarship Program will select 10 students annually to receive cash awards of $500. Members must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and must have completed 30 semester hours or less at the time of application. The deadline for submitting applications will be May 1, 2001.
