This challenge inspires students in grades K-12 to honor the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by making a difference in their schools and neighborhoods for two weeks beginning on the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Holiday. It teaches young people important values such as responsibility, compassion, respect, nonviolence and moral courage, and inspires them to put these values into practice by performing Acts of Kindness and Justice in their schools, homes and neighborhoods. Through the Do Something web site, coach.dosomething.org, educators and students can learn about Dr. King, download lesson plans and activities, and share their experiences with other participants nationwide.
