Phi Theta Kappa and its corporate partners continue to collaborate to provide a variety of benefits and opportunities to assist members and alumni with their academic and career goals! The Right Education congratulates Phi Theta Kappa Regional Officers by providing them free one-year subscriptions to The Learning and Homework Accelerator. This tool assists with writing assignments by helping outline ideas, arrange ideas in a logical order, and develop these ideas into well-organized papers. The Accelerator organizes papers and keeps writing on track and on subject. Contact The Right Education at info@therighteducation.com and state that you are a Phi Theta Kappa Regional Officer to request subscription sign-up information. This fall, The Right Education has also awarded a $100 scholarship and a one-year subscription to The Learning and Homework Accelerator to one student from each Phi Theta Kappa region. The scholarships have been presented by Headquarters representatives at regional meetings this fall. All Phi Theta Kappa members, alumni and advisors may receive a discounted rate on The Learning and Homework Accelerator of 15 months for the price of a regular 12-month subscription. The Society brings these and other innovative services and benefits together at the members-only Phi Theta Kappa website: http://getconnected.ptk.org. Here are some highlights of the online benefits available. Online Scholarships. Between September and December of 2002, one $500 scholarship will be awarded each month to a randomly selected member who has enrolled in The Phi Theta Kappa Network. Newly inducted members of Phi Theta Kappa may have their academic accomplishments recognized by completing an online press release form, which will be sent to the newspaper of their choice. Members may submit the email address of their local newspaper and an electronic press release announcing their election to membership in Phi Theta Kappa will be submitted to the newspaper. Letters of Recommendation. Members may request letters of recommendation for scholarship and college/university admissions officers, and potential employers. The letters will be printed on the Society’s official letterhead, signed by Executive Director Rod A. Risley, and mailed to the designated addressee.
