The chapter at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson, Mississippi, did their part this summer to motivate chapters in the Mississippi/ Louisiana Region. The chapter combined preparation with celebration to equal motivation for the coming year. Forty people from 5 chapters within the region converged on the Copiah-Lincoln Community College campus for the chapter’s “Let’s Get Motivated” Conference. Participants received a healthy dose of preparation from speakers addressing understanding personality types, conflict resolution skills, the Hallmark Awards Program and an exploration of the Phi Theta Kappa website. The chapter also infused the afternoon with celebration in the form of, what else, a hug break and a lesson in singing the Phi Theta Kappa Song accompanied by kazoos!
