Think You Know All There is to Know About the All-USA Academic Team?

Fact: The top two students from community colleges across the country are nominated each year to the All-USA Academic Team.

Fiction: Scholarships are only awarded to the 20 individuals named to the national First Team.

Piqued your interest?

Try this on for size: You don’t have to be named to the national team in order to win!

  • With a student’s signed consent, the contact information of All-USA nominees is offered to senior institutions interested in providing scholarships to All-USA Academic Team nominees. Bottom line: With only two students being nominated per campus to the All-USA Academic Team, senior institutions are ensured the top community college recruits in the nation. This makes you very marketable!

  • Currently 34 states sponsor All-State Academic Teams, and many offer scholarships and stipends to All-State Team members. More than $26 million dollars is now available in scholarships and stipends to Team members in participating states.

  • The top-scoring student in each state in the All-USA Academic Team competition is named a New Century Scholar and receives a $2,000 scholarship sponsored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and the Coca-Cola Foundation.

  • All-USA nominees are also eligible to apply for Phi Theta Kappa’s Washington, D.C. Internship Program.

Talk to your college president or Phi Theta Kappa advisor today about the possibility of being nominated by your school. It’s truly an opportunity you can’t afford to miss!
