Regional Happenings
By Faye Christian

From the north to the south, and all points in between, Phi Theta Kappa regions used the summer months to plan projects and activities that embrace the 2002-04 International Service Program, “Conquering Cancer” and the 2002-04 Honors Study Topic, “Dimensions and Directions of Health: Choices in the Maze.”

Indiana

During a recent summer planning meeting, the Indiana Regional Officers unveiled the “10 plus 10” challenge to the region as part of their Community Cancer Awareness project. The officers have challenged Hoosier members to perform 10,000 hours of service to Conquering Cancer and to raise $10,000 for cancer service/research. By the end of July, six chapters had already reported 645 hours and $4,300.
