Tentative Agenda

The 2008 ILC Program features exciting new presentations designed to prepare regional officers and Regional Coordinators for their pivotal roles in successfully leading their regions.

Critical leadership skills to be addressed include public speaking, setting goals, motivating members, building teams and communicating effectively with each other and the chapters in their region. All ILC participants will receive a copy of Phi Theta Kappa's Leadership Development Studies Textbook, which will be the basis of the leadership presentations and a continuous resource for their terms in office.

Regional leaders will also participate in an instructive and idea-generating session on the new Honors Program Guide that encourages the integration of Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Fellowship through the Honors Study Topic. Updates will be shared on Phi Theta Kappa membership and scholarship opportunities, and marketing and interpersonal communication strategies will be covered. The program will conclude with an "ILC Bowl," where regional officers can compete to showcase their knowledge gained throughout the weekend.

Regional Coordinators and regional officers will meet together unless otherwise noted.
