Elements of an Effective Regional Meeting:

  • Event is well-planned and well-advertised. Make sure chapters are notified of the conference dates, location, meeting agenda, costs of attending (registration, hotel, meals, etc.) at least 6-8 weeks in advance. Don't forget to give complete driving directions to the conference site.

  • Conference agenda provides ample opportunities to learn about Phi Theta Kappa's programs through dynamic speakers and workshop presentations. Headquarters representative is allowed to present a Headquarters Update during a General Session.

  • Regional Officers are given visible leadership roles (presiding at General Sessions, leading workshops, etc.)

  • Participants are encouraged to network and share good ideas.

  • Advisors meet separately during the conference to address any advisor concerns or questions.

  • The regional meeting is affordable for both students and advisors to attend.
