The right to vote is perhaps the most important right afforded to United States citizens. In the 2000 election, over 40 percent of eligible voters did not exercise their right to vote. With the hope of increasing voter awareness among registered and non-registered voters, Phi Theta Kappa and the Project Vote Smart organization have partnered to offer a comprehensive voter awareness campaign. By getting involved in Project Vote Smart, you are not only helping to create civic-minded voters, you are also letting your voice be heard in the election of the nation's leadership. Chapters are invited to implement non-partisan activities on campus to encourage college students to become better informed on campaign issues and to vote in the Presidential election on November 2.
