Salt Lake Community College, Salt Lake City UT

...team members created a new activity-based course linking physics, chemistry, biology and math. The goal was to provide students with concrete ways of experiencing science and mathematics. This new learning community, developed with guidance from mentors Mercedes McGowen and Darlene Whitkanack, will be offered in fall 2003.
