Teacher Preparation and Mentor Corps for the Selected Colleges
The project will provide the eighteen selected colleges with mentoring services and an array of proven teacher preparation activities, courses, and curricula for replication and/or adaptation. Each of the selected community colleges will be assigned a two-member mentoring team that has developed and conducted outstanding teacher preparation programs. These resources were developed by faculty and administrators at the following community colleges, which have been recognized by the National Science Foundation (NSF) for their exemplary teacher preparation programs.
- Cerritos College, CA: Teacher TRaining ACademy (TRAC), a fully articulated two-year program of courses for future mathematics, science and technology teachers. Find out more about them.
