The Alpha Project:
Town Meetings

The Alpha Project - Preparing Phi Theta Kappa for the New Millennium

The purpose of the Alpha Project Town Meetings is to provide members, alumni, and advisors a forum to express ideas about the priorities of Phi Theta Kappa in the next decade. The Town Meetings are brainstorming sessions to present ideas in general about the kinds of programs, benefits, and services Phi Theta Kappa could and should offer in the future.

Town Meetings were held at the following regional conferences last fall: Virginia, Illinois, Oklahoma, New England, Great Northwest, Texas, and Indiana. Regions were selected for geographic and membership demographic diversity. The Town meetings are led by the International Officer attending the conference along with Alpha Project Facilitator Dr. George Vaughan or Phi Theta Kappa Executive Director Rod Risley.

Comments from the Town Meetings were recorded and presented to the Alpha Project Commission for review. Also, selected comments can be reviewed on The Alpha Project Town Meeting Comment page.
