Jackson, MS - Twenty Phi Theta Kappa members have been selected as 2012 Guistwhite Scholarship recipients and will be recognized and invited to a special reception during Phi Theta Kappa’s Annual Convention in Nashville April 12-14.

Online applications for Phi Theta Kappa’s Hallmark Awards must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. CST February 1– less than a month away.  The 2012 Hallmark Awards will be presented at Phi Theta Kappa's Annual Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, April 12-14.

Jackson, MS - Literary works from 16 Phi Theta Kappa members have been chosen from 950 entries for publication in the 2011 edition of Nota Bene, the Society's honors anthology.

Jackson, MS - Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is pleased to announce the establishment of the Dorothy C. Lanier Scholarship for members attending community colleges in Ohio. The $10,000 endowment will allow a $1,000 scholarship to be presented each year to an Ohio member of Phi Theta Kappa.

JACKSON, MS – Three new chapters of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society have been chartered during the month of October at Heald College-Modesto in Salida, California; Louisiana Delta Community College in Monroe; and Durham Technical Community College in North Carolina.

Phi Theta Kappa Distinguished Alumna and Pulitzer Prize-winner Mirta Ojito, who credits her community college and Society membership for helping her achieve success, was the keynote speaker at the recent Freshman Convocation at the Bronx Community College, City University of New York.

Two very important changes to Phi Theta Kappa's scholarship opportunities have been announced: In 2012, $50,000 in Frank Lanza Memorial Scholarships will be awarded, doubling the amount available; and all Society-administered scholarships will now use a common application with two application per
