Phi Theta Kappa Introduction

Phi Theta Kappa is the largest honor society in higher education, serving 1,250 two-year colleges around the world and offering exclusive programs and benefits for members that contribute to a dynamic, multi-dimensional college experience. Promoting academic achievement is only part of Phi Theta Kappa’s purpose. Members are connected to a vast array of resources that provide academic enrichment and servant leadership opportunities. Scholarly and leadership development focus on career preparation and networking, community service, and developing tomorrow’s global leaders.

  • The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for the exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.
