Edinboro University Launches PTK Scholarship
Edinboro University is helping students manage the cost of continuing education with the launch of their $1,000 transfer scholarship exclusively for Phi Theta Kappa members.
The university is one of Pennsylvania’s most distinguished centers of learning and research. Tell us about your college’s new transfer scholarship for members of Phi Theta Kappa.
This is a $1,000 one-time award for Phi Theta Kappa members transferring with a minimum 3.5 GPA from their previous college.
Why does your college feel that it is important to offer a scholarship opportunity for members?
There are a lot of scholarships available only to new freshmen, and PTK members have worked hard for their achievements. They deserve to be rewarded for their efforts!
Are there other transfer scholarships that could be stacked with your Phi Theta Kappa award?
Yes. The President’s Excellence Awards are based on previous college GPA and range between $1,000 and $2,000. Highlander Housing scholarships are also available to select non-Pennsylvania residents living on-campus.
What other opportunities are available for transfer students at your institution to help them successfully transition from community college?
We have priority scheduling for transfer students. Our campus also features an Office of Adult and Transfer Student Services, and we have orientation programs geared specifically to transfer students.
