Washington State University (WSU) Global Campus has announced its new $2500 stackable scholarship for Phi Theta Kappa members!
WSU Global Campus has been recognized by the U.S. News and World Report as one of the Top 18 Best Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs in the U.S., and the university is committed to supporting PTK members. In addition to the WSU Global Campus transfer scholarship for PTK members, they have waived the $70 application fee, allowing PTK members to apply for their high-demand programs like accounting, data analytics, economics, human development, psychology, and more for free.

Tell us about your college’s new transfer scholarship for members of Phi Theta Kappa.
Washington State University Global Campus is excited to announce its new $2500 stackable scholarship exclusively for members of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society! Having recently waived our $70 admission application fee so PTK members can apply for free, we are strengthening our PTK partnership with this scholarship to support PTK members in their journeys to complete four-year degrees from our highly respected, research university.
Washington State University is recognized world-wide for academic excellence and groundbreaking research. Since 1992, WSU Global Campus has been empowering students to learn and succeed from anywhere in the world. We have 21 fully online majors, including high-demand programs like accounting, data analytics, economics, human development, psychology, and more. Our courses are designed from the ground up for online learning, and our instructors are the same faculty who teach on our main campuses.
WSU Global Campus students can take advantage of personalized academic advising, career counseling, virtual events, undergraduate research opportunities, and much more.

Global Connections – This outstanding program offers hundreds of online student events and activities each year. Global Campus students can engage with their peers and diversify their learning experiences in ways that very few online schools can claim. We even host family-friendly Zoom get-togethers for students who are parents.
Center for Civic Engagement – Civic engagement is a great way for Global Campus students to gain hands-on experience while helping improve their own communities. The WSU CCE office is affiliated with community organizations throughout the U.S. and in several countries, providing access to a variety of community service opportunities.
Esports – The Global Campus Esports program brings online Cougs from around the world together to build camaraderie and school spirit, both as players and spectators. We even have an official college esports team that competes in national-level, collegiate competitions.
Online Student Government – Founded in 1998, ASWSU-Global was the first student government in the nation created to serve students earning their degrees from a distance. Officer positions are paid and help organize student events, resources, leadership opportunities, and university-wide student advocacy.
Reimbursements – Student financial reimbursement programs help students with expenses like childcare, technology, travel, gym membership, and groceries.
Wellbeing Online – This fully online program is dedicated to helping students develop skills that foster a happy, balanced life by taking a holistic approach to healthy living.
Graduation Celebrations – At the end of their college journey, online students can participate in the Global Campus commencement ceremony, either virtually or in-person!

Are there other transfer scholarships that could be stacked with your Phi Theta Kappa award?
ASWSU Global Scholarships – The Global Campus student government has two additional award programs: One based on student involvement and the other for those participating in unpaid internships. Both new and continuing Global Campus students are eligible to apply.
University Scholarships – Transfer students may be eligible to apply for hundreds of scholarships offered through Washington State University. Scholarships can be based on financial need, academic merit, talent, and/or community involvement. Each year WSU awards approximately $170 million in scholarships, grants, and waivers.
What other opportunities are available for transfer students at your institution to assist them in successfully transitioning from community college?
Student Services – WSU Global Campus provides a wide variety of free student support services to help Global Campus Cougs succeed in meeting their higher education goals. We offer career advising to all students, including those who have yet to apply to WSU! Each student is assigned a personal academic advisor. We have technology learning resources available online, 24/7 technical support, and free online eTutoring. Support and resources are available for veterans and military-affiliated students and their family members. A dedicated distance learning librarian and a full range of online library services are available. And our Access Center provides accommodations for students with disabilities. These are just a few of the many services and resources available to help our online students succeed.
