Phi Theta Kappa Names Moody Nevada/California Regional Coordinator

Jackson, Mississippi -- Phi Theta Kappa has appointed Myriam Moody, a mathematics professor at Southwestern College, in Chula Vista, California, to serve as Nevada/California Regional Coordinator.

Moody became the advisor of the Five-Star Alpha Pi Epsilon Chapter in 2009. She previously served as the Associate Regional Coordinator in Nevada/California assisting Charlie Klein, who is retiring as Regional Coordinator.

Phi Theta Kappa's Regional Coordinators provide leadership and guidance for their respective regions and act as liaisons between advisors in their regions and Society Headquarters.

Moody has helped with Nevada/California conference planning, worked closely with the Regional Officer team, and regularly presented at breakout sessions during regional events.

She served as an Educational Forum presenter at PTK Catalyst 2017 and was a candidate for Association of Chapter Advisors Secretary.

The Alpha Pi Epsilon Chapter has garnered many achievements and this fall member Hanan Ali was recognized this fall as a Pearson Scholar and recipient of Phi Theta Kappa’s Leaders of Promise Scholarship.

A native of Worcester, Massachusetts, Moody studied mathematics at California State University, Fullerton.
