Kansas City International Airport (MCI) is located 19 miles northwest of downtown Kansas City. It offers:

Transportation from Airport

Public Transportation — Bus 129 is operated by the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority and runs about 20 times per day from Kansas City International Airport to different destinations. Rates are under $2.

The downtown drop off is at 12th and Grand Blvd., approximately four blocks from the event hotels.

    Grab a handle and hang on until the Crown Center stop! This place has many different activities for kids, such as LEGOLAND Discovery Center, Kaleidoscope and SEA LIFE Aquarium.
  4. Feeling the urge to hear some music or see a show?
    Your destination is Downtown Kansas City, MO, where live music and shows ore played inside of Power & Light and the Sprint Center Arena.
  5. Someone's feeling hungry and wanting to shop after a long day of exploring.
    Fill your needs by stopping at the Country Club Plaza on Main Street MAX route! You'll find dozens of unique as well as well-known restaurants and clothing stores.

TICKET TIPS

  • RideKC base fare is $1.50 and includes a free 2-hour transfer. Pay with cash. If paying with a larger bill, you can receive a Change Card that shows the unused fare balance.
  • Buy an all-day pass on buses for just $3.
  • You don't have to wait in line to purchase your pass. Buy online at RideKC.org! You should expect to receive your order within 5-7 business days.
  • KC Streetcar is free from Union Station through downtown and into City Market.
