Registration

All-inclusive Registration covers double occupancy lodging in a campus residence hall, all meals on campus, the Institute program, including speaker presentations, seminar group work, and Place as Text activities, plus the welcome and farewell socials, and the Regional Coordinator and Advisor reception.

Commuter registration covers the Honors Institute program including speaker presentations, seminar group work, and Place as Text activities, plus the welcome and farewell socials, and the Regional Coordinator and Advisor reception.

The Honors Institute officially ends on Thursday, June 21, following the Farewell Social. Those participants who plan to depart on Friday, June 22, must vacate their dorm rooms by 11:00 am on June 21. Those participants who registered for Explore More! Day, must vacate their dorm rooms by 11:00 am on Saturday, June 23.

Attire

Casual attire is appropriate for Honors Institute General Sessions, Seminar Group Meetings, Place as Text activities, and Explore More! Day. No cut-off jeans or short shorts should be worn during these parts of the Institute program. T-shirts with offensive language are not appropriate wear for Honors Institute.

Guests

The Honors Institute is open only to Phi Theta Kappa members and chapter advisors. Family members of participants cannot be accommodated in residence halls, at Institute meal functions, or at any Institute events.

Speaker Presentations

Recording General Sessions is prohibited.

Internet/WiFi

Villanova University offers complimentary Internet access campus. Access the Internet via “VUGuest.” You will be redirected to the network login page. Follow the instructions to log in. Additional information is available in the Conference Services Guide.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found items should be returned to the Phi Theta Kappa staff office located in Farley Hall.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not permitted in any public areas of campus including classrooms and residence halls.

Speakers’ Views

The views expressed by Honors Institute speakers do not reflect the views and opinions of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society or Villanova University.

Zero Tolerance Policy

The use of alcohol or illegal substances, on or off the Villanova University campus, will not be tolerated during Honors Institute. Institute participants found using these substances will be required to leave the Institute at their own expense, and college officials may be notified of the expulsion.
