Jacob grew up on a farm surrounded by a forest as part of a family that valued time being outdoors and hunting. As a result, he has been interested n firearms since he was young, and he began learning about firearm safety and competing in firearm competitions. Now, he is working on turning that interest into a career in gunsmithing through the firearms technologies program. At his community college, he teaches people about firearm safety and handling through the gun club.
