When Michael was a young boy, he used to lay in his front yard with a pair of his dad’s binoculars to watch the planes fly overhead. He’d watch as they sped by or course corrected, he’d check out books on airplanes, and he’d bike to his local airport for their airshow. In 2006, he received his private pilot’s license. Now, at 48 years old after 15 years of owning a semi-trailer manufacturing business, he has returned to school for aviation maintenance. He is excited to uses his mechanic skills and become more involved in the aviation industry, and over the summer, he had the opportunity to work at a general aviation airport.
