Phi Theta Kappa’s Regional Coordinators provide leadership and guidance for their respective regions and also act as liaisons between advisors in their regions and Society Headquarters. To prepare for their new roles, interact with Headquarters staff members and receive important updates on Society goals and priorities, the three newest Regional Coordinators recently attended an orientation at the Center for Excellence.
Recent visitors to the Center for Excellence were, from left, new Regional Coordinators Linda Duffy, Frank Malinowski and Debbra Esparza
Visiting Phi Theta Kappa’s Jackson, Mississippi international headquarters were Linda Duffy, Minn-Wi-Kota; Debbra Esparza, Texas; and Frank Malinowski, Georgia.
“I found the entire experience of my visit to the Center for Excellence to be invaluable,” said Georgia’s Malinowski. “The information and training we received will be very helpful in making my introduction to this new role a success.
“The thing that I will take away on a more personal level is the camaraderie that I developed with both the other two coordinators in my group and the members of the staff. I’m looking forward to working together with the entire team for many years,” he added.
Malinowski is advisor of Chi Xi Chapter at Darton College, where he is Interim Dean of Science and Mathematics and an Assistant Professor of Computer Science.
Duffy is advisor of Beta Nu Chi Chapter at Western Technical College in Wisconsin, and is a Communication Skills Instructor.
Esparza is advisor for Alpha Lambda Xi Chapter at Lone Star College-Kingwood, where she is Professional Development Manager.
