Hurst Scholars will receive a code to cover the cost of Hurst Review NCLEX® study materials and a cash award to conver the NCLEX® exam fees.

“Hurst’s mission has always been to help nursing students succeed by improving clinical judgement skills through the best NCLEX® preparation course available,” Hurst CEO Pat Lowery said. “Together, Hurst and Phi Theta Kappa can provide the resources required to begin a successful career in nursing.”

The NCLEX® is a standardized exam given by each state’s board of nursing to determine if RN or LPN/LVN candidates are competent for entry-level nursing practice. In addition to the scholarship, Hurst also provides a $50 discount on NCLEX® study materials — including the company’s newest product, N-STREAM — for all Phi Theta Kappa members preparing to take the exam.

“It is such a privilege to work with Hurst Review Services to provide scholarships for NCLEX® certification fees for our members,” said Dr. Monica Marlowe, Executive Director of the Phi Theta Kappa Foundation. “Exam costs often create a financial barrier for students that hinders their ability to enter the workforce. We appreciate the support Hurst provides to our members through certification scholarships and study materials.”

Hurst Review is an educational services company based in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Since 1988, Hurst’s proven NCLEX® review course has helped hundreds of thousands of nursing students achieve first-attempt success. Hurst Review provides three comprehensive course formats to fit students’ learning styles: live in-person, live streaming, and streaming videos. All courses include NCLEX®-style practice questions and simulation exams. These courses and features allow Hurst to continue to see a pass rate of over 98 percent.
