Welcome to the information page for the Beta Alpha Phi Chapter at Hudson County Community College, Jersey City Campus! Joining the Beta Alpha Phi Chapter means becoming a part of a powerful community of diverse college students dedicated to making their own futures through service and leadership. The Beta Alpha Phi Chapter, established in 1995, is home to over 6,698 members and alumni, all committed to making a lasting impact through leadership, service, and academic excellence.

The chapter leaders at the Beta Alpha Phi Chapter have been working on service and research projects both on campus and in the community. Here are a few of their recent projects:

  • Aspiring Student Leadership Conference and All Aboard the Scholar Ship: A Scholarship Workshop
  • Academic and Workforce Pathway Program - Incarcerated Students. Partnering with HCCC’s Continuing Education and Workforce Development department to give incarcerated students a second chance at education.
  • Understanding Societal and Economic Consequences of Automation

Scholarships

Members of the Beta Alpha Phi Chapter who aspire to receive a bachelor's degree have access to millions of dollars in transfer scholarships from PTK's four-year partners--these awards provide significant savings towards tuition at over 800 four-year colleges and universities. Also, $202,510 has been awarded in competitive scholarships from PTK's Foundation in recent years. These scholarships help ease the financial burden of college, enabling members to focus on their studies and future careers.
