Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) announces that President and CEO Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner has been appointed by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) to serve on the Commission on Research, Data, and Strategic Narrative for the 2026–2027 term.

Dr. Tincher-Ladner will represent Phi Theta Kappa on the commission from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. The commission serves in an advisory capacity to the AACC Board of Directors, helping guide strategic priorities related to research, data and the evolving narrative of community colleges nationwide.

Dr. Tincher-Ladner brings deep expertise in research, analytics and data-informed strategy to this appointment. Throughout her career, she has championed the use of data to improve student outcomes, strengthen institutional decision-making and elevate the national conversation around student success.

Her leadership extends to national board and advisory service, including the Center for Community College Student Engagement (CCCSE), the Rural Community College Alliance and prior service on the AACC Board of Directors. She has also served on the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, underscoring her national leadership in higher education policy, student success and research-driven advocacy.

“This commission’s focus aligns closely with work I care deeply about,” said Dr. Tincher-Ladner. “Research and data give us a starting point, but the real power comes from how we use that information to expand opportunity and positively impact outcomes for students, families and communities.”
