Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is proud to announce that Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner, President and CEO, has been appointed to the national American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) Commission on Research and Community College Trends and Issues.

The commission will focus on current and future trends impacting community colleges; advise AACC leadership on potential data sets for the sector; explore local, state and national approaches to measuring, describing and reporting student and institutional success; and develop resources that support community college learners.

Dr. Tincher-Ladner’s appointment reflects her reputation as a national leader in community college research and data-informed student success initiatives and programming. As PTK’s former Chief Information & Research Officer — and now as CEO — she has led studies on student success, transfer and completion outcomes, and student engagement.

“I am honored to join the AACC Commission on Research and Community College Trends and Issues at a time when thoughtful data, informed policy, and meaningful partnerships are more important than ever,” said Dr. Tincher-Ladner. “I look forward to working with colleagues to identify trends, elevate data that matters, and ensure that community colleges have the insights they need to drive student success.”
