Five Star Chapter Plan

The Five Star Chapter Plan engages chapters in Phi Theta Kappa programs and celebrates their accomplishments. It outlines 10 essentials to creating an engaged chapter and organizes them into themed categories, or “stars”.

Why Participate?

Focus on the Good Stuff. Chapter leaders have limited time – this plan gets to the heart of PTK benefits.

Hard Work Pays Off. Your chapter’s Star achievements will be recognized locally, regionally and internationally.

How it works

The timeline: All requirements are completed during a calendar year (January 1 — December 31).
What’s required: The plan organizes requirements into five themed categories or “stars” including Reach, Engage, Network, Lead, and Discover.
Your path: Complete requirements in any order. Choose the path that fits your chapter best.
Star status: At the end of the year, the number of stars your chapter earns equals your chapter’s star status. For example: Reach Star + Engage Star = Two Star Status
Awards: Chapters receive recognition during regional meetings (typically the following spring).
