Honors Program Council
Apply to serve on PTK's Honors Program Council. We have openings for representatives from the Humanities, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), and Leadership Development Studies to serve on the Honors Program Council beginning in July 2026 and ending in June 2030.
Eligibility to serve as an Honors Program Council member:
- Active Advisor: You must be an active advisor engaged with coaching Phi Theta Kappa chapter members. Honors Program Council members should have coached a chapter team in an Honors in Action project and helped the chapter earn Five Star status in 2025.
- Application: You must complete and submit the Honors Program Council Application.
- Advisor Service: During your four-year term, you must serve as an active advisor whose chapter engages in an Honors in Action project and earns Five Star status each year.
- Honors Program Council Activities:
During your four-year term, you must be able to:
- Participate in the annual Honors Program Council summer meeting to develop the Honors Study Topic and write the Honors Program Guide and ancillary materials
- Serve as an Educational Forum presenter at PTK Catalyst,
- Serve as a member of the Civic Scholar Editorial Board, and
- Serve as a judge for the yearly Honors Case Study Challenge and Nota Bene Literary and Visual Arts Honors Anthology.
