5 Reasons to Attend PTK Catalyst 2022

PTK’s last in-person Catalyst was in 2019 in Orlando, Florida. Since the pandemic started, we’ve been working hard to plan a convention that would fit everyone’s needs…and guess what? We did it! This year, your chapter can attend in-person, virtually, or combine both options for a hybrid experience in our most inclusive PTK Catalyst yet! It’s definitely what we call *the best of both worlds*

As we prepare to fly off to Colorado, here are 5 reasons your chapter should attend PTK Catalyst:

1. Network – Phi Theta Kappa is all about its community of high-achieving scholar-student leaders, and this is our one opportunity to come together as one, face-to-face, to interact with each other and make new friends. Take advantage of it, make connections, and your PTK experience  will be all the richer.
2. Learn –  Attend ed forums designed to inform you on subjects relevant to your experience. Whether you’re graduating and looking to join the career force or transfer, working on enhancing your leadership skills, or just want the PTK projects demystified, there’s something for you!
3. Play – Kappans are known for their competitive spirit, and Catalyst is a great place to show that fire. Take part in the annual Scholar Bowl trivia competition (back and better than ever!), or participate in the first ever PTK gaming tournament. We’re playing Rocket League – and if you’ve never played or participated in an e-sports competition, don’t worry, there will be plenty of practice rounds.
4. Celebrate – Everything you and your chapter has led up to this moment. Every scholarship application, every service project, every Hallmark Award – and now it’s time to celebrate! We’re celebrating YOUR achievements, whether you’re a top 100 chapter or a scholarship award winner, whether this is your first time coming to convention or your fifth! We’re able to come together once again, and that in and of itself is something worth celebrating.
5. Experience –  Phi Theta Kappa’s Annual Convention, Catalyst, is renowned throughout PTK as a lifechanging experience for students and advisors alike! It is an experience like none other – and it’s all about you and your peers’ accomplishments throughout the past year. The opportunities provided at Catalyst are far reaching and wide ranging, and you know you won’t want to miss it.
