Sweet Briar College has announced their new $2,000 transfer scholarship available to PTK members!

Tell us about your college’s new transfer scholarship for members of Phi Theta Kappa.
Sweet Briar College has established this $2,000 scholarship to recognize the efforts and success of PTK members, which also increases the amount of gift aid awarded to transfer students.
Are there other transfer scholarships that could be stacked with your Phi Theta Kappa award?
Yes, this scholarship stacks on top of merit scholarships awarded at the time of admission. Students who compete for Wyllie Engineering scholarships and Performing Arts Scholarships are also eligible to receive this additional scholarship.
In your opinion, what is one of the most impressive things about your college?
Sweet Briar has an absolutely beautiful campus and offers opportunities for young women in a natural setting of nearly 3,000 acres. SBC is one of two women’s colleges in the US offering an ABET engineering program; the 27,000 sq ft greenhouse offers extensive training for environmental science and sustainability studies. In addition, there are two lakes and 20 miles of trails on campus for study. Pre-vet and archeology are top programs along with the performing arts in the areas of art, music, and theatre. The equestrian program is housed in a stunning facility and is the oldest program in the US. Students come from 42 states and 19 countries. 100% of students received scholarships and financial aid.
