Start a New Phi Theta Kappa Chapter
Interested in bringing the benefits of Phi Theta Kappa to your campus? Establishing a chapter at your college means more than forming a student organization—it means joining an internationally recognized honor society committed to student success, academic excellence, and transfer readiness.
Why Start a Chapter?
By chartering a new PTK chapter, your college will gain:
- Access to millions in exclusive scholarships
- Opportunities for students to develop leadership and research skills
- National and regional recognition for chapter and college achievements
- A support network for advisors and students, including tools, training, and events
- Membership in a community of nearly 1,250 chapters across 11 countries
Eligibility Requirements
To start a chapter, your institution must be in good standing with a recognized regional accrediting agency (US colleges), and if outside the United States, please provide detailed information about your country’s or institution’s quality assurance and accreditation processes. Include links to national standards or governing education authorities, if available
All charter requests are reviewed by Phi Theta Kappa staff and must be approved by the Phi Theta Kappa Board of Directors.
