Tincher-Ladner Named to SACSCOC Board

Phi Theta Kappa President and CEO Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner has been named to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Board of Trustees. She will serve a three-year term.

SACSCOC is the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the Southern states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia, as well as Latin America and other international sites approved by the SACSCOC Board. Its work ensures shared values and practices among the diverse two- and four-year institutions in these states.

The Board of Trustees guides the organization’s work and implements the accreditation process.

Tincher-Ladner also serves on the national boards for the College Promise Campaign and the Center for Community College Student Engagement. She is a member of the American Association of Community Colleges’ Commission on Student Success and serves on the advisory board for the Woodward Hines Education Foundation.
