Global Leaders of Promise

Purpose: The Global Leaders of Promise scholarship program provides new Phi Theta Kappa members with financial resources to help defray educational expenses while enrolled in an associate degree program to develop leadership potential through participation in Phi Theta Kappa programs. Students will apply on the Leaders of Promise application. These scholarships are designated for international students or those who do not hold a residency status that qualifies them to apply for FAFSA.

Awards: $1,000

Eligibility:

• Be currently enrolled in 6 or more semester credits of associate degree, college-level coursework.
• By January 31st of application year, have completed at least 12 semester credits but no more than 36.
• Continue enrollment in a two-year associate degree program for the upcoming fall semester.
• 3.50 or higher GPA on coursework completed in the last 5 years.
• PTK member in good standing.
• Have not yet received an associate or bachelor’s degree from any college.
• Academic record free from suspension, probation, or other disciplinary actions.
• Do not have a criminal record, or if a convicted felon, have all conditions of sentencing, including probation/parole, completed.
