The Chime Scholars Foundation (CSF) and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) have announced the 2026 Chime Scholars cohort, recognizing 200 high-achieving students preparing to enter the workforce in high-demand fields.
Funded by CSF and administered by PTK, the Chime Workforce Scholarship provides each scholar with $1,000 to help cover educational expenses while completing a certificate or associate degree designed to prepare them for employment in a high-demand field. Scholarship funds may also be used for costs associated with earning workforce certifications and credentials.
“At the Chime Scholars Foundation, we believe that career and technical education opens doors to financial progress and long-term opportunity. We’re proud to support students who are working hard to gain in-demand skills and build better futures for themselves and their families,” said Jeni Izuel, president of the Chime Scholars Foundation.
The Chime Workforce Scholarship supports students preparing for high-demand careers that strengthen their communities and local economies. By helping students complete their education and earn workforce credentials, the program helps build a stronger pipeline of skilled workers in fields where they are needed most.
“These 200 scholars represent the talent our communities and employers need,” said Amanda Karpinski Gorman, executive director of the Phi Theta Kappa Foundation. “They are preparing for high-demand careers that keep our communities working and our economies growing. We are proud to partner with the Chime Scholars Foundation to help remove financial barriers between these students and the careers they are working toward.”
