The Kevin and Rosa Byrne Family Scholarship
The Kevin and Rosa Byrne Family Scholarship provides financial support for high-achieving students, especially those who have been in foster care, to achieve their educational opportunities in pursuing the careers and futures they desire. The program awards one scholarship of $500 annually.
Eligibility – Students MUST:
- Be currently enrolled in a minimum of six (6) semester credit hours [or nine (9) quarter credit hours] for the Fall semester at a regionally accredited community college in an associate degree or certification program.
- Have completed a minimum of 12-semester credits at a regionally accredited community college at the time of application
- Students selected will be required to submit verification.
- Hold a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative grade point average out of a possible 4.0 at the time of application on all college-level coursework completed.
- No courses can be marked as incomplete.
- Have an academic record free from suspension, probation, or other disciplinary action.
Eligibility – Student Preferences:
- Phi Theta Kappa members
- Students who have ever been or are currently in the foster care system.
