PTK’s Scholarship Application is open year-round with two deadlines.
Spring Programs: Leaders of Promise, Oberndorf, IPSLEI, & Workforce Development Scholarships

Fall Programs: All-USA, New Century, Coca-Cola Academic Team, Guistwhite, Hites, Oberndorf, TEK, Workforce Development Scholarships

StudyBuddy TEAS Prep Scholarship
Open to Phi Theta Kappa members only, applicants must be enrolled in a pre-nursing, nursing, or allied health degree program. Students in medical assistant and certified nursing assistant programs are eligible as well.
- 35 students will receive a 100% discount for the TEAS prep course materials on StudyBuddy.live for a duration of up to 10 weeks
- 20 students will receive a 100% discount for any other course excluding the TEAS prep course for up to 10 weeks; discount codes cannot be combined
- Discounts are valued at $300 each, totaling $16,500
TEK Productions Scholarship
Applicants must be Phi Theta Kappa members with a minimum 3.5 GPA and majoring in Production, Event Management, Theater, Performing Arts, Graphic Design, Video Editing, or Stage Management.
- Up to two $500 scholarships annually
Hurst Review NCLEX® Scholarship
Open to Phi Theta Kappa members only, applicants must be enrolled in a nursing
degree program.
- 25 scholarships of $250 each for the NCLEX® exam fee
- Free subscription to the premier Hurst NCLEX® Review for scholarship recipients
- Total awards of $13,750
Walgreens Pharmacy Technician Certification Scholarship
Open to Phi Theta Kappa members as well as non-members; applicants must be enrolled in an Allied Health or Pharmacy Technician Program and intend to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam
- 50 scholarships of $250 each for the Pharmacy Technician Certification exam fee
- Total awards of $12,500

Ewing Citation Scholarship Award
- Must be a Phi Theta Kappa member
- Awarded to the author of the manuscript judged to be the most outstanding of those submitted to the Nota Bene literary anthology
- Must be enrolled in college at the time the manuscript is submitted
- 1 award of $1,000
Fulbright U.S. Student Program
- Application opens in March, due in October
- Offers U.S. citizens research, study and teaching opportunities for graduating college seniors, graduate students, young professionals, scientists and artists for one academic year.

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund
- Must be of hispanic heritage
- Must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative gpa
- Must enroll full-time at an accredited four-year college during the fall following scholarship application
- Award amounts vary from $500 to $5,000
- Application is due in March

Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship
- Spring & Summer Programs: application opens in August, due in October
- Summer & Fall Programs: application opens in January, due in March
- Offers grants for U.S. citizen undergraduate students to pursue study or internship programs abroad.
- Award amounts vary from $5,000-$8,000
- 2,500+ awards given annually

Jack Kent Cooke
- Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship
- Maximum $55,000 available per student, per year
- Provides funding for tuition, room and board, books and other required fees
- Application is due in January

The Jeannette Rankin Foundation
- Must be a woman age 35 or older receiving low income
- Must enroll at an accredited college
- Must be used for associate, technical and vocational programs
- $2,000 award
- May be renewed up to 5 years
- Provides funding for college and living expenses

Regional Scholarships
Pacific Region Transfer Scholarship
Open to Phi Theta Kappa members only, applicants must be currently enrolled at a two-year college in the Pacific Region, transferring to a senior institution in the Pacific Region in the next fall semester, and be eligible for the Guistwhite or Hites Scholarships.
- Up to two $1,000 scholarships awarded annually
- Recognition at the Pacific Regional Convention
- Must be a Phi Theta Kappa member
- Must be currently enrolled at a two-year college in the Pacific Region (Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Micronesia, and the Marshall Islands)
- Transfer to a senior institution in the Pacific Region in the next fall semester
- Must be eligible for the Guistwhite or Hites Scholarships
Trustmark Workforce Development Scholarship
- Up to 25 $200 scholarships
- Recognition as a Trustmark Workforce Development Scholar
- Must be a Phi Theta Kappa member
- Must be pursuing a workforce-related major
- Must enter the workforce after graduating with an associate degree or certificate
- Must be a resident of Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, or Texas
Tennessee Valley Authority Scholarship
Applicants must be eligible and nominated for the All-USA Academic Team program, enrolled in an associate degree program in Mississippi, and be pursuing a major in the STEM field.
- Two $2,250 scholarships awarded annually
- Recognition at the All-Mississippi Academic Team event
Christopher A. Calhoun Transfer Scholarship
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and Phi Theta Kappa member, enrolled in an associate degree program in South Carolina with plans to enroll in a four-year college baccalaureate degree program in South Carolina for the next fall semester, eligible and apply for the All-USA Academic Team, and be nominated by the student’s college.
- One $1,000 scholarship awarded annually
- Recognition at the All-South Carolina Academic Team event
Dr. Mary Hood Texas Region Scholarship
Applicants must be eligible and apply for the Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholarship and enrolled in an associate degree program in Texas.
- One $1,500 scholarship awarded annually
- Recognition as a Dr. Mary Hood Texas Region Scholar
